What makes your products different from other skincare brands?

We are committed to creating skincare and makeup products that are not only effective but also friendly to the skin and our environment. We answer your question, what sets our formulas apart.

The heart of our business : Good Intent's Active Ingredients

The very essence of Good Intent products lies in the active ingredients sourced from flowers and herbs from the Baltic meadows and forests. The unique natural environment of the Baltic region contributes to the potency of these ingredients.

Where are the plants harvested from?

The northern summers in the Baltic region are much shorter, compelling plants to concentrate their blossoming vigour in a brief period. As a result, at the time of harvest, these plants are rich in the active ingredients required to survive in harsh climates.

Philosophy

We believe that all skincare and makeup on the planet should be done right—effective yet friendly to the skin and our environment.

Combining Nature and Science

Good Intent marries nature with science to create game-changing products. We harness powerful plant actives to deliver real results.

Certification

Most of our products are Natural and Organic Certified according to the international COSMOS standard by ECOCERT Greenlife, nourishing both the skin and senses.

Good Intent products stand out for their unique blend of natural active ingredients, scientific innovation, and commitment to sustainability.

Do your products contain alcohol?

Not all alcohols are created equal, and not all are bad for the skin – each ingredient in our formulas has been carefully evaluated to ensure it is safe to use.

Please check the INCI ingredient list for each product to find out it contains alcohol and/or alcohol derivatives.

However, majority of products has some traces of alcohol since most plant extracts (except in oil products) are made using alcohol-based extraction methods.

We do not add palm oil to our formulas as a separate ingredient, however, palm oil derivatives may be part of another ingredient and are present in most products (for example, palmitic acid), although in a very low concentration.

All ingredients containing palm oil derivatives are RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certified, which means that plantations are cultivated using sustainable methods.

How are Good Intent Products tested?

To ensure the quality and safety of our products is a top priority at Good Intent. In this article, we will walk you through the various testing phases and processes that our products undergo before they reach you.

Formulation Process

The formulation process begins by consulting guidelines from ingredient suppliers about the recommended usage and concentration for each ingredient. Sometimes, we even test several hundreds of samples to decide on the best formula.

Cruelty-Free Testing

We believe that beauty should be cruelty-free, which is why we don't test (and never will) on animals. Instead, each product is tested by volunteers who share their skin’s reaction after testing and provide their subjective evaluation. Both are taken into account when refining the formula.

Laboratory Testing

After a product is created, it undergoes rigorous testing in a laboratory. This includes measuring various physical and chemical properties, determining stability and expiration date, as well as studying and defining standards for storage. In accordance with the law, each product is tested by a qualified chemist to ensure it complies with safety and consistency tests. We also send the items to external labs to make sure that the chosen preservatives work well throughout the validity period.

Batch Consistency

We also check the physical and chemical properties for each batch we manufacture. This ensures that the product from production is consistent with the approved version from the laboratory.

Conclusion

Quality and safety are paramount in the development of Good Intent products. From formulation to final production, each product undergoes a series of tests to ensure it meets our high standards.

How do I store organic & natural products?

Proper Storage Tips for Good Intent Natural & Organic Cosmetics

Proper storage is crucial for maintaining the quality and effectiveness of your natural & organic cosmetics. Here's what you need to know:

Importance of Proper Storage

Natural & organic cosmetics contain sensitive ingredients that can be affected by environmental factors like temperature, humidity, and light. Improper storage can lead to reduced efficacy, changes in texture, faster expiration, or even bacterial growth.

Recommended Storage Conditions

Temperature:
Store your natural & organic cosmetics in a cool, dry place with temperatures ranging between 10-20 degrees Celsius (50-68 degrees Fahrenheit). Extreme temperatures can compromise product stability.

Humidity: Keep cosmetics in a dry environment to prevent moisture buildup, which can lead to spoilage or bacterial growth.

Sunlight: Avoid direct sunlight as UV rays can degrade active ingredients and shorten product lifespan.

Tips for Proper Storage

1. Original Packaging: Always store products in their original packaging to protect them from environmental factors.

2. Seal Containers Tightly: Close lids securely after use to minimize exposure to air and moisture.

3. Avoid Bathroom Storage: Bathrooms are typically humid and warm, which is unsuitable for natural & organic cosmetics.

4. Use Clean Tools: Use clean hands or spatulas to dispense products to prevent contamination.

5. Check Expiry Dates: Be aware of the product's expiry date and discontinue use after this period.

6. Consider Refrigeration: Some products benefit from refrigeration, especially in hot climates. Always check manufacturer guidelines.

Proper storage practices are essential for maintaining the quality and longevity of your Good Intent natural & organic cosmetics. By following these recommendations, you can ensure your products remain safe and effective for as long as possible.
